Bunkersound is new audio recording, mixing and production facility in a beautiful residential area of Chapel Hill, NC. The studio was constructed in a 1000 sqf unfinished basement area and fully designed with high end acoustic performance in mind. Wes Lachot, a well known studio designer, drew the plans and made sure every inch of space was used. The facility consists of a 400 sqf live room with 9’ ceiling, a small sound lock, a vocal booth (10X8), another sound lock (11X9) and the control room. The control room is a “reflection free zone” room measuring 19X18 feet. The frequency response of the room at the “zero position” (48″ from the console) is as flat as a pancake; less than 3db variance across each frequency between 100hz and 30hz.
